Home Control according to Siemens works via a single cordless telephone. For Martin Kinne, CEO of Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices, home networking cannot be more universal and convenient. To register a new device with Home Control module at the Gigaset base station, you simply need to press a button at both terminals and the amplification is complete. All current Gigaset phones from the middle- and upper class since September 2004 support this remote control. On the road, this technology can be controlled with your cell phone. The so-called Gigaset Home Control will come to stores in April. The “Smart Home Solutions by SURPASS” is a platform, which gives internet and telecommunication providers the opportunity to offer their customers special services via an “always-on” broadband access. From Siemens’ point of view the highest potential for innovations in the next decades lies within the home.
