Make linux drivers for M34 ? Would be nice to integrate with asterix.

allowing you to call from the phone using internet and call from internet using your local line ? (use the handset as SIP client and the basestation as FXO interface)

But still the best from both worlds would be a S450IP basestation with SL56 handsets ... pllleeeaassseeee send my wish to Nikolaus ! :-P

HELP! my newly-purchased m34 sw does not give me the option to connect to skype! only msn, icq, yahoo and aol are under the "messenger" menu of the configuration sw.
The configuration I have is the following:
sw version 01.032.00
hw version 6
w98se
skype 1.4.0.84
Obviously I cannot upgrade to newer sw versions (no w98 compatibility anylonger, EVEN IF the m34 sw requirements say w98se compatible!!!!!), nor to newer skype versions (again w98se not compatible)...and I DON'T want to up(or..down)grade this machine to winXP.
Any help is appreciated!

It does not work with Vista !!!

vista is now out for almost 6 month and the m34 usb still doesn't work on vista ... it is really sad that a company like siemens doesn't have the knowledge to deliver these drivers. i won't buy another siemens phone and i advice not to buy the m34 usb stick.

Recently bought an S685IP VOIP telephone. Just found out it is not compatible with Skype. WHY would any manufacturer, particularly one as credible as Siemens, launch an IP telephone that is not compatible with the world largest IP system? Madness,. No skype menu on the handset nor do the phones register under skype . I can however see the m34 on the base
