Earlier this month, Munich based Siemens presented several new products. A number of VoIP devices will now be offered in a bundle specifically designed to suit the small business sector. This bundle will be first introduced in The Netherlands. Frank de Jong, manager of Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices (SHC), explains that the bundle will consist of the new Gigaset SX762 WLAN (=ADSL-gateway) in combination with Gigaset S450 IP handsets and three single S45 handsets. Because Siemens has no market share in this sector at all, they can only win, de Jong continues. By means of simplicity, he adds, Siemens feels well forearmed to compete with companies as Linksys.

If I buy a C455 IP in Germany, or indeed anywhere, and bring it back to UK, would you expect any problem with its operation, once I'd adapted the phone & electricity plugs?
I've had to buy various pieces of Siemens kit abroad in the past, because you've traditinoally been very slow to release in UK, and I've always had success in adapting the phone & electricity plugs, to-date.

Hi Alistair,
yes if you change the plugs it will work.
That's just changing the power and the phone connection? I am keen to buy a gigaset with VOIP but I must have an answerphone.
Any sign of a C455IP in the UK? Or for that matter Gigaset S675 IP .
I am in Germany quite often and employ staff there so I can buy (I was at FSC in Sommerda only last week - but they do PCs)
