Families and senior citizens have especially high expectations with regard to product functionality and longevity. Their requirements formed the benchmark for the development of the Siemens Gigaset E360 and E365 cordless phones. This has resulted in a combination of both style and functionality that offers security, ease-of-use and elegance, all in one phone. Both models have ergonomically designed handsets with large illuminated buttons and an illuminated display with large letters and numbers, as well as four speed dial buttons, allowing customers to save their most important numbers for fast and easy dialling. The Siemens Gigaset E365 is also equipped with an answering machine and unique emergency call function, enabling users to reach emergency services or loved ones as quickly as possible in a time of crisis. The Siemens Gigaset E365 and E360 are more stylish and feature-rich than their 2003 predecessor, the Gigaset E150. The new phones have an added SMS feature for text messaging and the option to switch to jumbo font size now also available in the address book for better legibility.
The combination of font options and large, illuminated keys makes the phone easy to use, even for young children or those with poor eyesight. The volume level is quick and easy to change, with the volume key on the handset itself. Users need not browse through the menu to make adjustments and changes to the volume can even be made during a phone call. The sound quality is superior and hearing aid compatible. A larger spectrum of ringer melodies with higher volumes means you never miss a call as a result of not hearing the phone ring.
The Siemens Gigaset E360 & E365 both have a hands-free speaker that is activated by an illuminated speaker phone key, making it easy for grandparents to speak to their grandchildren together, without having to pass the phone back and forth. Other features include a headset connector, phone book with up to 100 entries, alarm clock and screen saver digital clock.
The Siemens Gigaset E365 boasts an integrated answering machine and four programmable speed dial buttons on the handset and base station. Therefore, the user can make calls quickly and easily at the press of a single button, even when the handset has been misplaced. The first speed-dial button on the Siemens Gigaset E365 can also be programmed as an emergency call button. In this case, the user is able to save four numbers on this one button. Once it has been programmed, the button lights up red, making it easy to find even in the dark. In the case of an emergency, the user presses the emergency button and all four numbers are dialled in succession until a connection has been made. The person receiving the call hears the pre-recorded emergency announcement and is then asked to press a specific button in order to confirm the connection. This means that when the caller reaches a busy line an answering machine or fax, the phone simply jumps to the next number until a connection can be confirmed.
As Jochen Eickholt, CEO, Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices points out, “As a company, we are faced with the challenge of creating target group specific products. The 50+ group is very important to us. They are experienced customers who know what they want and place high value on quality and security. The trusted Siemens brand coupled with the ergonomic features and security found in the Siemens Gigaset E365 exemplify our commitment to meeting their needs.”
The Siemens Gigaset E360 and E365 phones are easy to install with plug and play functionality, the handset features and menu are intuitive, practical and easy to use with an elegant design, making it an ideal gift for parents and grandparents alike. The Siemens Gigaset E360 is priced at 79.95 euros and the Siemens Gigaset E365 at 129.95. Both phones will be available this September.

Can I use the headset socket on the E36 or E360 to connect to the microphone port on my computer to record phone conversations, and what cable would I need?
If this is not feaseable, what is the best way to record phone conversations from an E36 or E360 ?
I am looking for an english manual in PDF format for this phone. I see many languages available except English. Can someone help?
I notice that all advertising ,promotional videos etc. are done in English for the Gigaset E360 but although the product has manuals in every language known to man an English version is not amongst them. Could you please provide a simple instruction sheet covering the phones main functions and how to set them. Or recomend the phone nearest to the E360 which does have an English manual that could be used.
Hi Mike,
have a look at the Gigaset E365 which is in fact a Gigaset E360 with additional Answering machine ;-)
