VoIP solutions 2 - Made by Siemens Gigaset

Want to switch between internet and fixed-line calls?

If you combine one of the Siemens Gigaset dual mode telephones with a router or gateway, you can. A vast benefit of this solution is that you do not need a PC to call via the internet. All VoIP phones do have one key to switch between fixed-line & VoIP calls. The IP-ready Siemens Gigaset phones offer excellent sound quality and other advantages such as e-mail notification and Instant Messaging via your handset. What’s more? You’ll also receive free access to the Gigaset.net community.

My IP phone recommendations:
Siemens Gigaset S450 IP (picture)
Siemens Gigaset C450 IP
Siemens Gigaset C455 IP

My router recommendation:
Siemens Gigaset SE366 WLAN

I just buy a Gigaset S450 IP. And I don't find a way to dial a SIP URI (like 'user@host.tld' in 'sip:user@host.tld'). Is it imposible to contact someone with a SIP URI (like 'sip:user@host.tld')?

Hi s450 owner.

I've just bought the S675 IP. Same problem with the SIP URI too. I can't believe it, this must be a joke! Do I always have to find the corresponding ip?

And the iptel.org service isn't working..
