Mhh, it seems my username/password never gets accepted... Do we need another firmware-update to use this service or does it not work for the S450IP?

Kusmi 7:38 PM, August 23, 2007

Can someone tell me where I can get the gigaset.net login details? I have a an S450 IP and the website tells you to get the details from somewhere that is not on the web configurator.

Many Thanks

Ben

Doesn't work. On S450IP, you have a user/password for gigaset.net in Settings/Messsaging/Messenger. But...it doesn't work.

At least 4 new firmwares since I begin to write on this blog. Nowhere to clearly read what is changing in firmwares. Still no way to create a real dial plan. Still bugs (i.e. name send in CLIP are never stored).

I'm disapointed.

So how does it really work? My username/password still does not seem to be accepted.

Anyone already had success accessing this new gigaset.net?

After a firmware update today I can finally get into the gigaset.net web page. The password is shown in the s450ip settings under info services. Only works with some handsets apparently: 'This service is available with the handsets S67H, SL37H and C47H.' There also now seems to be a rudimentary dialplan for specific numbers, ability to use #0-#9 suffix to dial numbers via specific provider, call forwarding and call transfer.

Yep, now it works for me as well - just a pity, that for the plain S450 IP the additional features do not work, only if you buy the 3 new handsets you mentioned above :-)

Dear All,

Can you please let me know how can I set a user name and password to my Internet connect using Siemens Gigaset SE568. I don't want my kids to use the internet while I am away.

Thanks

Gigaset S685IP - Completely useless in the UK if using a Betamax VOIP service provider like voipcheap.com etc etc.
Why oh why oh why do Siemans not have the foresight to allow even the slightest flexibility when it comes to a "dial plan"
All I ask is that the option of auto dialling International dial code be made when dialing through specific SIP accounts.
It would be soooo easy to do. EG. Dial plan - If number dialed starts with "01" then route through SIP Account XX (whichever sip account specified. Then... quite simply, in the settings for that SIP account you have a box to tick if you want full international dialling code to be added in place of leading "0"
It's sooooo obvious yet without it the phone is next to useless for using the most popular and cheapest "Betamax" voip providers. ARRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!

Please can someone tell me if a Siemens IP phone, such as the 658IP, can be used to call NON-voip users. Can I use a VOIP gateway of my choice.

Can I:

1. Call non-VOIP users
2. Call VOIP users on other VOIP networks

This site is useless - no FAQs with real important questions and answers!
