Those of you appreciating good, reasonably priced cordless phones that are easy to use might be interested in the Siemens Gigaset AL145. The phone saves energy thanks to ECO DECT, which reduces transmission power to virtually zero when the handset is in the base station. More features: long standby time, answering machine, an illuminated display, speed-dial keys, memory for up to 40 numbers, caller display (CLIP), display of the last 20 calls and the time they were made, redial function, plus a few extras such as an alarm and keypad lock. For peace and quiet, you can switch off the ringer using the mute button.
With a talk time of up to 13 hours, the Siemens Gigaset AL145 is great even for long calls. The battery can last up to 200 hours without being recharged.
The new ECO DECT technology is now included in Siemens’ inexpensive A class phones. Energy-saving, switched-mode power supplies mean that the phones consume 60% less electricity than conventional Gigasets. If only one handset is in use, the base station reduces the transmission power to almost zero when the handset is docked.

Hi. I bought a AL140. I'm trying to setup the Intercom feature correctly. I registered the phones 1, 2 & 3. Now when I press INT it just says "Calling All HS" and both the other phones ring, I just want to call a single phone at a time, how can I set this up.
We have just purchased a 'Gigaset AL145 duo' from a leading retail store and was advised that I could only purchase extra handsets directly from Siemens. How can we obtain them. We reside in the UK.
