The Siemens Gigaset HC450 intercom is a smart way to control an entrance intercom with a Siemens Gigaset cordless phone. At the touch of a button, users can speak to visitors standing at the front door, open the door or switch on the light.
It allows them to speak to visitors using their cordless phone from anywhere within the house. With call forwarding all these functions can also be used remotely from a mobile phone, for example to let the cleaning lady in or to ask the postman to leave a package with a neighbor. The DECT wireless standard ensures a secure and stable connection to the intercom in the same way as it does to all cordless phones in the home.
The Siemens Gigaset HC450 intercom transforms your Gigaset phone into a remote control for your front door. Check the key benefits:
* Cordless connection to compatible Gigaset base stations
* Speak to guests, open the front door and turn on the light
via your Gigaset handset
* Ring tone with voice prompt or message on display to
alert that someone is at the door
* Automatic call forwarding to your cellphone to activate
door functions externally via PIN
* Easy installation with no extra wires
* Simple configuration via Gigaset base station

Hi,
A few questions regarding the HC450:
1. When is it going to be available in the UK?
2. What is the expected cost?
3. Does the HC450 use up a registered handset slot? i.e. with the HC450, will an S450 only be able to register 5 handsets? (A possible problem given all the Gigaset hardware on the German site!)
Thanks.
hello,
I have a HC450 since a few months. I have a very annoying problem. The street where it is intalled is quite noisy and the people at the door cannot hear anything because the microphone is automatically shut down. The only way to hear smthg at the door is to put a finger on the microphone. Really not user)friendly. I contacted the customer service of siemens (Belgium) but they say they never heard about that (very difficult to get sthg from them). It seems like a bad "hands free" mode : impossible to have a full duplex communication when the outside is noisy.
Does anyone have the same problem or suggest a workaround??
Hi Laurent,
This is a security aspect and I am thankful for your input. I will forward your message to the responsible product manager and report about his statement!
HI Anon,
I will check.
Best
Moritz
First of all: What a great product the HC450 is. No more cables necessary from the door to the base station!!
However I would have a question: Is the HC450 really only compatible to the mentioned 4 base stations? (SL370 - SL565)
What about for example the Gigaset SX763 WLAN? Is it possible to hook up the HC450 and the Gigaset SX763 WLAN?
Is it moreover possible to have the E360 work with the HC450?
I would love to install this combination for my parents.
We desperately would like to buy an HC 450, a base station and 4 handsets in Belgium/Bruxelles ( The "centre" of Europe ! ? ). We were told that Media Markt would sell those products. But apart from not getting any attention and a lousy customer service all products wer whether sold out or not on stock, with a remark : " we don´t focus on Siemens anymore" ????
Where can we buy ? and where do we get service ???
A "lost" customer ...
Axel
Hc450 registered with E455 sim. Works perfect untill I register my old gigaset 4000 on the E455. When I push the intercom button, the 4000 is ringing but the original handset of the E455 is only flashing without making any noise. I can make contact by pushing the green button, but can't open the door. Speaking and hearing is no problem.
