The World's Biggest Building: A city within Moscow

20071229_crystalisland.jpg

While Christmas is almost over and cities around the world start to abolish their Christmas markets & trees, everybody in the city of Moscow could be staring at a 1500ft tall, 27 million square foot, 4 billion dollar Christmas tree every day of the year from 2012 and on. The concept of Sir Norman Foster called "Crystal Island" is being described as a "city within a building". I am quite sure that at least one Siemens Gigaset device will find its way to the 900 apartments or 3000 hotel rooms. The building is also home of an international school for 500 students, a sports complex, a theater, cinemas and so on...

In order to fulfil high economical and ecological standards, the building will generate electricity using exterior solar panels and wind turbines. Moreover Siemens Gigaset ECO DECT phones could save energy & radiation...;)
