Shortly after Yahoo announced to reject Microsoft’s bid on Monday, Yahoo’s reaction was judged as “unfortunate” by Microsoft officals. They said its takeover offer was “full and fair.” Yahoo declared before that the offer is too low.

From these statements one might assume that, at least for now, Microsoft will not raise the price for a takeover. Microsoft assured that it is still ready to fight, repeating earlier statements that it might consider “all necessary steps” to complete the deal.
