The Siemens Gigaset SE365 WLAN is a 3-in-1 solution that works as a wireless access point, Ethernet adapter or repeater. The IEEE 802.11n draft standard enables a transport of data with up to 300 megabits a second.

Used as an access point, the Siemens Gigaset SE365 WLAN provides wireless access to a LAN or an Ethernet modem so that PCs and notebooks can be integrated wirelessly at up to 300 MBit/s.

As an Ethernet adapter, it links game consoles and set-top boxes to the WLAN network, e.g. for using IPTV and HD video streaming. The 5 GHz frequency band assures disruption-free transport of large amounts of data.

Its 3rd function is a repeater, which allows its range to be increased extensively.

Thanks to its ECO broadband functionality, the Gigaset SE365 WLAN saves energy and permits the variable reduction of transmission power. The use of switched-mode power supplies cuts electricity consumption by 60 percent compared to conventional linear units. The device’s software supports the manual adjustment of the transmission power by 75, 50 or 25 percent, or the complete deactivation of the WLAN transmitter.
