If you are one of those guys who buy phones only because you need a simple device to call - and to call only - then this one here is your go:
the Siemens Gigaset A580 and the Siemens Gigaset A585 with an integrated answering machine are new entry-level models from Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices (SHC). "Dance to save the world!" is declaredly the quite overblown slogan of the nightclub Surya in King’s Cross (London). It isn't the first power-generating dance floor to use the surplus dance energy of clubbers, but it is the first one to hit the UK.
The picture on top shows how the dance floor usees a piezoelectric system which produces electricity as the dancers jump up and down. Batteries underneath the dance floor charge the energy which is partly used to power the nightclub.
Cute idea! I hope the owner of the nightclub managed to purchase one of those

Mercedes-Benz has an ambitious goal: develop a completely petro free car within seven years. The competitor Audi wants to realize this within one decade.
In a recent report in The Sun, Dr. Herbert Kohler, who is responsible for Mercedes' advanced engineering, has stated that "by 2015 motorists will have switched almost completely to alternative fuel cars."
Moreover Mercedes scheduled an electric car for 2010 as well as a car which allows its owner to use both petrol & biofuels with its Otto Diesel engine.
Great idea to push EcoCars especially when you take a look at the petrol & oil price at the moment... if you don't want to wait until 2010 to start with "Eco Products" bear in mind to purchase one of those Siemens Gigaset Eco Dect phones...

Check this new vacuum cleaner design concept: the BacVac. There is no reason any more to carry around all those moving parts. Just wear them on your back like a backpack. The engine is powered by a fuel cell, avoiding all tedious cables which are bothering you. The fuel cell would be replenished with readily available ethanol.
