It's all about you!
Categories: Hints

While everyone inside the company (Siemens Gigaset) is talking about ECO DECT, this blog is asking for your feedback to the ECO DECT technology. Ever heard of it? Tell us please! Your opinion is highly wanted! Do you use or own "ecological" technology?

I intend to purchase an ECO DECT Gigaset, but the market is full with various Gigaset DECT phones.
How can I be sure that I'm buying an ECO DECT, not an old DECT phone.
Is there some specific label, is there some Serial Number to look for?

Please advice!

Thank you,
Cosmin

Hi Cosmin,

here you go. This is the Siemens Gigaset ECO DECT phones product portfolio:

I know that page but it does not help me.
Example, Gigaset C450 is an older DECT phone but without ECO feature.
Now it is build with ECO mode, but how can I differentiate the new model from an older one?

I don't appreciate response like the above, I need a Siemens official to clarify situation, also I'm expecting an software up-date for my Wi-Fi router in order to eliminate a DNS bug and nobody respond me to my query about that issue too.

Siemens got lame, seriously.
I always was a Siemens fun, I have an S45, S65, S75, various gigaset phones but it looks like that I have to switch the another telecomm device company.

I am thinking of buying a S675+S67H ECO DECT for a bedroom plus an additional S67H handset for the kitchen.
Will the base station and handset transmit power go to zero if both handsets are in their cradles?
ie. Will both the bedroom and kitchen phones be in idle until either is in use.

Hi Cosmin,
I am sry to hear that you are not happy with the Siemens Gigaset service. Just to be clear: This Gigaset-Blog is not a support forum where you get customer care information about Gigaset products or FW. This Blog is a communication board for Gigaset users to discuss about Gigaset topics.

Customer care infos are provided here: http://gigaset.siemens.com/shc/0,1935,hq_en_0_11772_rArNrNrNrN,00.html
Here you can ask Siemens employees questions & you will get an answer from a Siemens employee.

Nevertheless I will try to help you ...:)

Your example of the C450 is a good point. Your guess with a product number is also good...;)...I will try to find out the details. Are you interested in the C450 only?

Wi-Fi router: Pls write a short comment on this Blog about it: www.gigaset-blog.com. What is your concrete problem. Another alternative: May be the customer care people do have a solution.

Moritz 2:45 PM, December 7, 2007

Thank you for your reply, and I know what is the purpose of this blog, but I still hope that some Siemens's officials will take a look hear and clear the problem.

The C450 case is not singular, there are a plenty of models of old Gigaset phones which now have the ECO feature.
How can i differentiate them in the store shelves?
YEAK, Siemens customer care got worse trough time.

Regardin SE361 Wi-Fi router:
- I made an inquiry trough Siemens support interface. This was hard too because the SE361 support interface does not aloud me to sent technical queries, but I tricked them and I did sent my comments trough interface of another Wi-Fi router (SE561), telling them that I was forced to do that. Do you think this is the reason why they did not respond? Neah, they don't care!
- I even wrote my issue on their german forum, this is the link:
http://www.siemens-gigaset-forum.com/de/posts/list/12409.page
Nobody answer, because regular user can't help me, and the siemens' engineers don't care about customer. If you look on that forum, there are reports on the same problem, on the same router SE361, from the August 2007.

Very dissapointed about Siemens customer care!
Buooo!

Hi,

PLEASE can state how many watts the siemens dect SL565 phones use?

I have just bought an eco dect model but was upset to find the base uses 3w and handsets are not given energy consumption details.

Say the SL565 duo - how many watts will it be to have base station and one handsets working?

And if two handsets working, how many watts?

It would be nice if siemens defaulted the eco option to work on their phones and then people would have to override it to use more energy too.

Hi,

VERY disappointed with siemens SL565 - the box said it was an eco dect phone and so did the manual but after 24 hours waiting for the unit to charge up I now find there is NO eco dect option in the menu! - so clearly siemens has shipped an older non-eco dect phone version in the new box packaging etc.

Customer satisfaction level is rock bottom - there is nothing worse than finding you have spent good hard earned money buying some product you have carefully researched but then find the product doesn't meet what you expect.

Very frustrating and disappointing, to say the least, and a call to customer services didn't help matters either - they didn't seem interested.

I'll just have to write off the whole thing as a bad experience

I have what is probably consider to be an antique system. It's a gigaset 8825. Does anyone know how to stop the greeting if it starts at the same time I answer?

Thanks!

Gigaset E45
Wrong date on phone log for missed calls
I have checked router and modem date and time, they are correct.
The date and time at the Gigaset E45 are crorrect.
But still the date and time registrered for missed calls are 10 months wrong.
Do you have a proposal what to do?
